Whew!

It was a wild and wonderful weekend! Between Thanksgiving Day and Sunday we were busy with all kinds of activities. Family arriving, family leaving, pictures, Bret and Laura's Open House and everyone, and I mean everyone, wanting to hold, feed or be by Ty!

Ty looked so adorable in his family picture outfit! Lynette, Rachel and Greg had picked it out for him. It tied in beautifully to our color scheme: blue, black or gray with blue jeans. He wore the cutest shoes that my friend Annette had gotten him. His (Ty's) mood alternated between sleepy, hungry and not very happy during the pictures. I think we got some good shots to use for our Christmas cards and to update our large (16x20) family photo.

Since everyone left to go back to their respective homes (Utah, Oroville, Selah and Kirkland) we've settled down a bit. The house is almost back to normal, but now it's time to get decorated for Christmas. I've been working on stockings for Ty and Bret's wife, Laura. I hope to get them done by the end of the week.

Till later!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Carynn and Ty came by yesterday to help make pies for Thanksgiving. Ty didn't help much, but I'm glad that he came along for the ride. :)
Carynn, Jamie, Ty, Jamie's brother, his wife and daughter, my mom, my sister and niece joined Michael, Melinda and I for Thanksgiving. Ty slept through dinner. Carynn had brought the swing over yesterday and he enjoyed sleeping in it while we were enjoying our feast. Right now the young marrieds are taking a break at C & J's while we have Ty duty. I love to Ty sit! When they were going to leave I said, "Leave him here we'll be happy to watch him!" He spent the first hour sleeping in Michael's arms and is now enjoying his dinner in his Great Aunt's arms. We have so much to be thankful for today and everyday. We should always have an attitude of gratitude.

I'm a Nana!

I was so excited when Carynn and Jamie told me that they had been chosen by a birthmom to be the adoptive parents of her child. They've been waiting so long to be parents and I've been waiting just as long to be a nana. (That's what I've decided I'll be called-hopefully the grandchildren will agree!)

So now that sweet baby Ty is here, I wanted to have a forum for him (and future grandchildren)where I can wax poetic and enthuse about the wonders of grandparenthood!
